Maureen Nelson has more than 30 years in public relations, advertising, media buying, marketing and journalism. Her well-rounded experience includes spearheading major public relations campaigns and product introductions for Hawaiian Airlines, Bank of Hawaii, AT&T Hawaii, Mazda Motor of America, and Ross Dress For Less.
Kimi Takazawa is a 24-year veteran in the field of communications and marketing with experience in the nonprofit and fundraising sectors as well as strategic planning and operations. Takazawaʻs early communications career began at Meyers Advertising where her Halloween radio campaign for Lahaina Cannery Mall won a Pele Award and then on to PRWorks. At PRWorks, she headed the Castle and Cooke Homes Hawaii account. During that time, she was responsible for garnering publicity and opening eight housing developments for them as well as launching the first Dole Plantation Family Fun Day.
Gwen Woltz is a skypuncher! Helping clients to envision their perfect social world, she then maps the quickest and most affordable route to get there. A crackerjack strategist, and one of the leaders of the social media revolution in Hawai‘i, she has been on the front lines from the beginning and knows what works.
Karen Weiker is our resident storyteller and chief nurturer. She is the keeper of the brand for our clients and, as mama bear, serves as both muse and guide to our content creators, encouraging them to reach for their most powerful and engaging posts, and then delight in the outcomes.
Kim Porter is a writer whose work has been acknowledged by The One Show (Silver Pencil & Finalist awards), Communication Arts, Clios, Advertising Age The Best Awards, International Broadcasters Assoc., Archive, Art Direction, Creativity, National & Northwest Addys, Honolulu Addys (including seven Best In Show Peles), People’s Choice and Special Judge’s Awards, among others.
Ruth Moen has been designing and illustrating for more
than 25 years. A graduate of San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in graphic design and a concentration in illustration, her first job was with Shirokiya Department Store illustrating products and designing ads. After a brief stint with a small design firm, she began freelancing for Ogilvy & Mather Hawaii as a designer and art director.
Peter Rosegg has been a journalist (Honolulu Advertiser); speech writer (Governor’s office); marketer (several ad and PR agencies) and senior spokesman (Hawaiian Electric). He writes, edits, plans and executes communication campaigns.
Stephanie Chang Design Ink offers creative solutions for sustainability. SCDI works at the intersection of user-centered design, community engagement and strategy to produce award winning solutions –– Marketing and community engagement strategies; Brand Identity consulting and creation; Print and packaging; Environmental graphics, wayfinding, and infographics; Website design and development.
Kelly Huang is a social media manager with experience creating and managing a variety of social media accounts with business-to-business and business-to-consumer strategies. She has worked with nonprofits and corporations to develop their brands on a variety of social media platforms. Huang specializes in content creation, social media management and strategy development
Ann Boots Bertholf
Ann has over 15 years experience in the digital marketing. Her expertise is in Search Engine Marketing. She and her partner started In-Touch Marketing and Bertholf Ventures in 2010, helping hundreds of clients create marketing strategies and grow their business online including, Oceanic Time Warner Cable, Auto Anything, Hilton Waikiki Hotel, and the City and County of Honolulu. She worked at Cox Media Group Hawaii for 10 years beginning as an Account Manager, working on creative campaigns for clients like Mercedes Benz and Central Pacific bank, and five years as General Sales Manager and later started their Digital Sales division as Digital Sales Manager.
